Steps from incredible art & culture
This cultural capital is home to the country’s best museums and is one of the cities with the most museums in the world. Spend hours perusing the world’s most extensive Mexican art and antiquities collection at the Museo Nacional de Antropologia, aka the Anthropology Museum Mexico City. A short walk away, at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, there’s an ever-changing array of contemporary art from local and international artists, including Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. But when it comes to looks, Mexico City’s Soumaya Museum is arguably Polanco’s most striking. Its shiny, geometric exterior is a work of art itself. And once inside, you’ll find the world’s biggest collection of colonial and pre-Hispanic age coins, as well as the largest private collection of Rodin’s art. Not to be missed is the famed Chapultepec Castle, home of the National History Museum.
